Beaumont's Busiest Fall Weekend Is Now November 13 to 15

Last year the Beaumont Night Market took place on September 27, at the start of fall. This year Empowering Women Entrepreneurs has scheduled the 9th annual market for Saturday, November 14, from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre on Rue Eaglemont. The Town & Country Curling Bonspiel runs November 13 to 15 at the Beaumont Curling Club, so the town's largest indoor market and its fall bonspiel now land on the same weekend. The organizer hasn't said publicly why the date changed. Either way, the move gives Beaumont's fall a peak in mid-November and turns the six weeks before it into a lead-up.

The weekend itself

Here's how the three days stack up, using the times each organizer has posted.

Date Event Venue Hours
Friday, November 13 Town & Country Curling Bonspiel opens Beaumont Curling Club, 5303 50th Street 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, November 13 Storm Chaser LEGO Drop-in Beaumont Library, Main Library 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 14 9th Annual Beaumont Night Market Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre, 5001 Rue Eaglemont 3 to 10 p.m.
Sunday, November 15 Bonspiel final day Beaumont Curling Club 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The bonspiel is listed by the Beaumont & District Agricultural Society. The market is free and features home-based and commercial businesses. EWE says it expects more than 70 vendors and over 4,000 attendees. Those are the organizer's own estimates, and the 2026 vendor list is still being chosen. A silent auction raises money for RiseUp Society Alberta, a local nonprofit that offers counseling to survivors of intimate partner violence. Each year has its own theme. The 2025 theme was "Glowing Hearts, True North Strong," and the City's listing promoted entertainment, sip and shop, and food trucks at the BSRC. The scavenger hunt started last year with a Canada Birds hunt, and EWE says it will now return every year in that year's theme.

October runs on the rec centre again

The Night Market is held at the BSRC, and most of October's routines run out of that building too. The Aquatic Centre closed for annual maintenance from September 10 to October 1. The City expected it to reopen Friday, October 2, with all amenities running on regular hours. That date was a forecast in the City's August notice, so check the City's page before you pack a swim bag. Swimming lessons are scheduled to start Monday, October 5, and school swimming lessons Tuesday, October 13. The fall pool schedule runs from October 2 to December 31, so the routines you set this month should last through the end of the year.

The ice is already running. BSRC Public Skate is on the City's booking system for Monday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the BSRC Arena. The City says drop-in skating at KNRRC generally runs September to March. The City of Beaumont's 2026 Fall Activity Guide covers September 1 through December 31.

Three mornings and an afternoon on the civic calendar

Outside the rec centre, October's one-off events are spread across three venues.

On Sunday, October 11, Ram Leela, a free play based on the Ramayana, runs from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Beaumont Community Centre. Four days later, Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak hosts the State of the City Breakfast on Thursday, October 15, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Coloniale Golf Club, 10 Country Club Drive.

The Beaumont Chamber of Commerce holds its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, October 20, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Jef's Café, and registration is required. The Chamber returns to Coloniale on Saturday, November 7, for its 2026 Business Awards Gala, from 5 to 10 p.m. That puts the gala one week before the Night Market, so local businesses have two big public evenings within eight days.

The City lists its Remembrance Day Ceremony as an annual November 11 event. The annual-events page doesn't give a 2026 time or venue.

Halloween week moves to the library and the brewery

The Beaumont Library has two programs on the last two days of October. The Bookies, the library's monthly adult book club, meets Friday, October 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Program Room. On Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31, Beaumont Chiefs Storytime runs from 1 to 2 p.m. in the same room. The full schedule is on the Beaumont Library calendar.

For adults, Old Yale Brewing has Scary Movie Trivia on Monday, October 26. Its listing shows registration at 5 p.m. and trivia at 6 p.m. The Beaumont taproom is at 7201 49th Street and has a brewery and kitchen on site.

Where to sit down between things

The coffee stop most closely tied to this fall's calendar is Jef's Café at #104, 5012 50 Street. It's the venue for the Chamber AGM, and its own site lists daily hours. The Chamber's member profile describes it as an independently owned coffee house serving homemade-style soup, made-to-order sandwiches, baking, loose leaf teas and coffee.

A short walk along 50 Street, Blush Cake Bar at 5000 A 50 Street is a pickup and takeout bakery. It makes custom cakes, macarons, cookies and squares. It used to be Thoroughfare Baked Goods. The rebrand announcement described a renovation with plans for a bigger display and cake bar, a shelf of local products, and takeout espresso drinks.

Downtown has also lost a spot. Farina, the Italian restaurant at 5017 52nd Avenue, announced its last dinner service for Friday, May 15, after about two and a half years. Something new is in the works on the north side of town. The City signed a development agreement on July 9, 2026, for the Belleview Centre at 9 Coloniale Way. The plan is two two-storey commercial buildings that could hold retail, a daycare and a restaurant or café. The City's notice doesn't name tenants or an opening date, and it says the private developer sets the construction schedule.

The parks are changing before the snow

Outdoor plans this fall depend on which playground or path you use. Milieu Park's renewed playground reopened by September 10. Work on Nature Park's playground started later than planned, and the City still listed it as active in its September 28 update.

Behind Ruisseau School, the new Ruisseau sports fields were close to finished in the City's September 28 to October 2 update. The pathway paving was scheduled for that week, the ball-diamond concrete was being poured, and sod was the last step. No completion date has been published.

On the rural edge, water-main work near Township Road 510 and Range Road 240 was expected to keep nearby trails and road shoulders closed until the start of November. If those trails are part of your weekend loop, they should reopen around the time the calendar fills up in mid-November. For year-round routes, our earlier guide to weekend parks, paths and local spots in Beaumont still applies.

Planning the market night

With the bonspiel running from Friday morning to Sunday evening and the market taking over the BSRC Saturday afternoon and evening, a little planning helps.

  1. Check the theme early. EWE picks a new theme each year and builds the scavenger hunt around it, so the 2026 theme tells you what the hunt will be.
  2. Watch the vendor announcements. EWE is still accepting 2026 vendor applications on its Beaumont Night Market page, so the vendor list isn't final yet.
  3. Budget for the silent auction. Proceeds go to RiseUp Society Alberta.
  4. Fit in the bonspiel. The Beaumont Curling Club at 5303 50th Street runs 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. all three days, so you can stop by Saturday morning before the market opens at 3.

For vendor questions, EWE lists [email protected], and [email protected] for anything else.

We keep an eye on Beaumont's calendar the same way we keep an eye on its market. If a busy November has you wondering what your home might sell for next spring, The Anderson Co. will put together a free home valuation built on local data, and we'll meet you at Jef's to go over it. You'll find more local updates on our Beaumont neighborhood page.
